Chloe Woodruff

Chloe is a recent retiree from the highest level of cross-country racing,

after nearly 15 years of pursuing that ‘perfect’ race. She paved her own path in the sport, founding a domestic power-house team, the Stan’s Pivot Pro Team. In time, she discovered her own motivation in sport had little to do with her own desire to win, but her belief that riding bikes can change lives. For Chloe, racing became an expression of that as she untapped her own potential to become an Olympian and World Cup winner.

For 2022, Chloe will undertake new professional challenges as the Program Director for the Arizona Cycling Association, while also riding for Construction Zone Racing at regional events. While she experienced a difficult 2021 race season, she’s eager to share her passion for the sport with others.

Chloe earned a degree in Community Health from the University of Arizona. She’s a stubborn transportation advocate who believes in ‘riding to your ride’ whenever possible and shares her home in Tempe, Ariz. with a spirited female dog named Hank.

Kait Boyle

Aboard her mountain bike, Kait strives to inspire the philosophy that you are unlimited.

Kait has established herself as one of the strongest ultra-endurance mountain bikers in the world. She has set course records in 24-hour races and self-supported multi-day bikepacking races. Her times rival those of the strongest men in the sport, and in 2018 she earned the 24-hr World Champion title. Shortly after that race, Kait survived a traumatic car accident. Her recovery since then has reached and inspired thousands and through it she has shared what resilience, big dreams and dedication can lead to. She aims to connect people to their dreams, potential, and the landscapes we ride in through teaching, coaching, speaking, writing, and sharing her story as she rides her bike in the wildest places she can imagine.

Beyond her bikes, Kait is a proud and obsessed mom to her dog, Hank. At two years old Hank has grown into a well-behaved and energetic young #pivotpup athlete. She lives in Victor, Idaho with Hank’s dad, Will, where four distinct seasons bring balance and joy to the various ways of riding bikes and moving in the mountains. Ultimately, it’s movement in remote and beautiful landscapes, sleeping outside, dreaming big, slow mornings, and pup cuddles that make Kait’s heart sing

Kurt Refsnider

More than 25 years ago, a gangly 7th-grade Kurt entered his first mountain bike race at the Minnesota Zoo and he has been infatuated by pedaling on dirt ever since. After bouncing around the road and cyclocross scenes while in graduate school, he eventually returned to the dirt and became enamored by probing mental and physical limits in multi-day ultraendurance events, winning and setting records in some of the toughest bikepacking races in the United States – Tour Divide, the Arizona Trail 300 and 750, the Colorado Trail Race, Alaska’s Iditarod Trail Invitational, and more. These days, backcountry trails in wild places are what Kurt is most passionate about, and that includes everything from racing and chasing FKTs, bikepacking, advocating for such trails, and trying to get more folks out on those trails. That led to Kurt co-founding the Backcountry Bike Challenge in 2021; Kurt is also a professional cycling coach and is the Executive Director of the Bikepacking Roots non-profit.
